Ride like Pros

Ride the entire original route of the 2021 Tour de Suisse on the same days as the professionals. This is the concept of the newly designed format. Those who don’t dare to ride all eight stages can chose to ride the first or the last four days. A maximum of 30 participants will be at the start of each stage. For example 10 athletes from the 8-day event and 20 from the 4-day event. Starting places are therefore limited.

On the road
Participants complete the individual stages in groups of a maximum of 10 athletes of similar fitness levels – each group guided by a road coach. The road coaches are former professional cyclists or experienced cycling guides and will be available to their group members for advice and support during the entire challenge. Selected restaurants will provide catering along the route. The stages will be ridden in open traffic and will not be held as races! A shared experience rather than the idea of competition should be the focus.

Pro race
After the stage there is a role reversal from driver to spectator. During an initial meal, the challenge participants watch the professionals arrive at the finish line. Experience great emotions again and be there up close. Then it’s off to the hotel at a relaxed pace by bike. If the hotel is not within driving distance, a transfer is of course offered. The participants can decide for themselves what follows – a soothing massage, dinner with a professional team or simply resting – there is something for everyone!

Pioneering project
The first-time staging of a mass sport event on the same route of a simultaneous World Tour multi-stage race is a pioneering project. This innovation offers the incomparable experience of feeling like a professional cyclist and being closer to the racing circuit than at any other event. Anyone who crosses the finish line of the last stage after the efforts of The NEW Tour de Suisse Challenge will not soon forget this experience.
